Digital Envelope Tracking – key enabling technology for 6G wireless communications
Abstract
Wireless network energy consumption, smartphone battery life and mobile user experience are all significantly affected by efficiency of radio transmitters. This presentation will describe ETAdvanced, or Digital Envelope Tracking - a powerful new technology platform developed by Eta Wireless and Murata to significantly improve power amplifier efficiency in all major wireless communications segments.
Bio
Gene Tkachenko is CEO and founder of Eta Wireless, a Murata company. He holds PhD in EE from Lehigh and is a graduate of MIT’s Executive Program. From 1995 to 2013 he worked at Skyworks, leading development of several key technologies: SOI and PHEMT for switches, HBT for power amplifiers, shipping billions of units into many generations of smartphones, and introduced industry’s first 4G LTE modules. Gene was part of two successful start-up exits, with Eta Devices acquired by Nokia in 2016 and Eta Wireless - by Murata in 2021.
